David Poulshock, Writer/Director
Filmmaker David Poulshock’s creative achievements have included a blockbuster children’s video series (“Wee Sing" for Universal Home Video), a history-making product launch (HP’s first inkjet printer), two groundbreaking educational series (“Mathematics Illuminated" and “America’s History in the Making" for Annenberg), and several award-winning screenplays. Of David’s Wee Sing work, Leonard Maltin of “Entertainment Tonight" said, “kidvid at its best." The Sarasota Herald-Tribune: “absolutely captivating." The Los Angeles Times: “imaginative and richly produced." And Billboard: “A magical mystery tour for children." David’s projects have earned him over 60 awards, including Nicholl Fellowships, Chesterfield, Austin Heart of the Screenplay, Writer's Network, World-Fest Houston, IFP Emerging Narrative; a remarkable 32 national Tellys; four awards from the International TV Association; and four Cindy’s from the Industry Film Producers Association. He was recently inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame for his work as keyboardist for the northwest’s legendary band, Upepo. David is also the co-creator and director of the trailblazing television pilot, “The Head Table," a show about food and living green which debuted to rave reviews on the Portland Fox affiliate. David splits his life with partner Gini Chin and their boxers Rilla and Boulou between Portland and the fishing village of Ilwaco at the mouth of the Columbia River. Long active in Portland’s arts community, David was Chairman of the 2005 Willamette Writers Conference, is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Northwest Academy (an arts-focused middle and high school), and is on the adjunct faculty of the Art Institute of Portland.


Ryan Crisman, Producer
Ryan Crisman is a producer with 17 years experience in filmmaking, acting, and radio production. A graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, he began his film career managing the renowned post-production facilities at NYU’s Kanbar Institute of Film and Television. While at NYU, Ryan hosted and produced and the seminal Roots and R&B program, “Shake ‘Em on Down" on WNYU-FM – which featured live interviews and performances with Luther Allison, Charles Brown, Robert Cray, Honey Boy Edwards, Ben Harper, John Lee Hooker, Madeline Peyroux, Junior Wells and many others. He also conducted over 100 interviews for Dan Aykroyd’s internationally syndicated “House of Blues Radio Hour" and the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame’s “I Wanna Take You Higher" shows. In 1999, Irish filmmaker Brian Tucker asked Ryan to be associate producer on the political thriller “Exiled," starring Paul Ronan and Ronan Carr. Tucker then invited Ryan to Ireland for their next project, the short film “Coolockland." Returning to the northwest, Ryan eventually joined David Poulshock’s Red Door Films as senior producer, where he produced many national projects including commercials for Goodwill Industries and two major series for Oregon Public Broadcasting and the Annenberg Foundation: “Mathematics Illuminated" and “America’s History in the Making." In 2008, Ryan formed his own company, Read Entertainment, and continues his collaboration with David Poulshock on “The Fix" and other projects. He lives in Portland, Oregon and is currently Co-Vice President of the Oregon Media Production Association.
